We pay homage to Australia’s original storytellers who remind us that storytelling is about deep listening. We recognise Australia’s First Nations Peoples for their ongoing connection to storytelling, country, culture, and community. We also respectfully acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we’re all situated and recognise that it was never ceded.

Tommy Cronan

Tommy is a first-year student, studying Creative Writing and Film Production at Swinburne University. After winning a writing contest in school, he uncovered his passion for creating short stories and poetry. Inspired by well-known poets, such as Mary Oliver, Tommy incorporates his experiences with trauma and the symbolism of nature, reflecting on the state of the world and the survival that holds us together. When he is away from his books, Tommy can be found writing fiction, swimming at the beach, or enjoying the company of his friends.
