Denise O’Hagan is a Sydney-based editor and poet, born in Italy. With a background in academic book publishing, she set up her own imprint, Black Quill Press and assists independent writers. Poetry editor for The Blue Nib until 2020, her work is internationally published and awarded, and includes the NSW Poetry Prize and the Dalkey Poetry Prize. Her poetry collection Anamnesis (Recent Work Press 2022) was a finalist in the Eric Hoffer Book Award (USA) and shortlisted in the Rubery Book Award (UK).
She is currently writer-in-residence at the Don Bank Museum, Sydney, where she is working on a third manuscript.
