We pay homage to Australia’s original storytellers who remind us that storytelling is about deep listening. We recognise Australia’s First Nations Peoples for their ongoing connection to storytelling, country, culture, and community. We also respectfully acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we’re all situated and recognise that it was never ceded.

Sarah Sasson

I am a physician-writer living on Gadigal land in Sydney. My debut coming-of-age novel Tidelines was published in 2024 (Affirm Press) and explores issues around addiction and psychosis. I previously edited Signs of Life-an anthology (MoshPit Publishing 2021) an international anthology themed on first and second hand experiences of illness and care giving that was profiled for Kirkus Reviews. My fiction and creative non-fiction have appeared in Meanjin, Kill Your Darlings and Ramona Magazine, among other places. My work explores human relationships, loss, memory and medicine.
