We pay homage to Australia’s original storytellers who remind us that storytelling is about deep listening. We recognise Australia’s First Nations Peoples for their ongoing connection to storytelling, country, culture, and community. We also respectfully acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we’re all situated and recognise that it was never ceded.

Karla Whitmore

The world is beset by destabilizing geopolitical and environmental issues.  These present a challenge, not only to comprehend and attempt to mitigate, but also to find hope for society as we know it.  Travelling through history is to navigate progress and catastrophe with an eye always on the future.

Karla Whitmore lives in Sydney and spends retirement writing in the area of the decorative arts with articles published in journals and online. She shares her interest in poetry with members of the North Shore Poetry Collective.
